Your Norwegian adventure begins in the storybook city of Bergen, climbing hillsides by the North Sea. Board the Express Boat for a majestic 3-hour journey along the Sognefjord, Norway's pride. You will arrive to Balestrand, a charming settlement along the fjord, where you’ll spend the night.

From the comfort of Balestrand, you’ll head on an exhilarating ride along the Gaularfjellet National Tourist Route, immersed in a landscape of waterfalls, wild rapids, and glaciers. You’ll tackle a challenging climb to Nystølsvatnet Lake, nestled amidst stunning mountain vistas before heading back and settling in at your hotel in Dragsvik.

Commence with a stunning ferry journey to Hella, then cycle along the waterfront through Nornes, the site of the historic Battle of Fimreite. Relish the ride along the coast, taking in the serene views, before arriving in Solvorn. Here you will stay in a hotel, nestled beside the fjord. Enjoy two nights in this idyllic village, surrounded by the tranquillity of rolling hills and the fjord's calm waters.

Today, you’re in for a captivating ride from the quaint Solvorn to the secluded village of Veitastrond, situated on the fringe of the Jostedalsbreen National Park. This "Dramatic Road" journey offers a glimpse into a world dominated by glaciers, including views of Austerdalsbreen, a prominent arm of Europe's largest glacier. The last section might switch from asphalt to gravel. You will traverse through landscapes adorned with wildflowers, small farms, and breathtaking mountain vistas before returning to Solvorn for the night.

You will begin the day with a ferry ride to explore the historic Urnes Stave Church. Then, cycle along the picturesque Romantic Route, with opportunities to stop and enjoy a hike towards the towering Feigefossen waterfall, one of Europe's highest. You can take the time to embrace the serene beauty of creek-side paths and charming landscapes along the way. At the end of the day, you’ll arrive at a cozy hotel near Fortun, where you’ll spend the night.

A challenging day is ahead of you as you make your way over the Tindevegen, traversing high mountain landscapes to Ovre Ardal, located at the edge of Lake Årdalsvatnet. Here, you’ll turn left and venture into the inland region, towards lake Tyin, tackling another ascent along the way. You will conclude this adventurous day at a delightful hotel nestled in Tynkrysset, surrounded by glacial lakes.

Today takes you through the spectacular Filefjell region, part of the historic King’s Road (Kongevegen). You’ll pass the peaceful Otrovatnet and Smeddalsvatnet lakes before reaching Borgund, home to the iconic Borgund Stave Church, one of Norway’s best-preserved medieval landmarks. Continuing along the route, you’ll have a chance to stop at the Sjurhaugfossen waterfall before following the crystal-clear Lærdalselvi river to Lærdalsøyri.

You’re in for a treat today as you head on the Aurlandsfjellet Scenic Route, one of Norway’s 18 National Tourist Routes. The journey begins in the peaceful Kvignadal valley, where you’ll pass the cascading Vardahaugselvi waterfall before climbing into the mountains. As you ascend, you’ll ride alongside the tranquil Flotvatnet lake and be treated to spectacular views of the rugged landscapes. The highlight of the route is the famous Stegastein Viewpoint, where a dramatic platform extends out over the fjord, offering breathtaking panoramas of the Aurlandsfjord, part of the UNESCO-listed Norwegian Fjords.

In the morning, you’ll take a ferry to Flam and head on the renowned Flam Railway for a scenic journey back to Bergen, traversing through the majestic Hardangervidda mountains. This route is celebrated by National Geographic Traveler and Lonely Planet as one of the world’s most beautiful train rides. Conclude your adventure with a one-hour transfer back to Bergen, reflecting on a week of unforgettable experiences.
